Current Things

Real life
Well, had quite a lot that has been happening so far this week, on Saturday I got revered with Netherwing and got a funky trinket with +45 stamina and also the ability to summon a Netherwing ally to help (it summons a Netherwhelp
which attacks the mob you're attacking).
From Monday until Wednesday I was on a hiking (walking) trip with my school. There were 16 of us split into 3 groups for a 30 mile trek over 3 days (that's about 50 kilometres for those of you who aren't particularly familiar with the mileage system). Basically by wednesday everyone was tired, dirty and pretty irritable, so when it finished everyone was very relieved (me included). The first day we did 21 kilometres in 8 hours- that was the longest day by far and the one where everyone was incredibly pissed off by the end of it.
Netherwing progress

The Netherwing rep grind is going fine, as I said above, I got Revered with the Netherwing on Saturday, which opened up a fun "defend your base" quest. The way Blizzard designed the rep grind is a absolutely fantastic way in my opinion. You do just enough quests per day to keep people happy, but not too many so that it's too boring and time-consuming. At revered I can get 3-4k rep per day (depending on Netherwing eggs) and I like it, aswell as getting 110g for all the quests in total (always a nice extra)
Current Reputation: 12025/21000
I should get exalted by either Sunday or Monday (if I'm lucky), although with 2 schoolwork projects due in by Tuesday and Wednesday I mi
ght have to delay it a little bit.
PvP
The PvP in WoW is pretty much the same as always, as an Enhancement shaman I have to avoid getting the attention of the allies, but at the same time nuking the living shit out of them- quite a challenge :P
I decided that, in order for me to properly focus on PvP gear I would have to start using a 2hander instead of dual wielding. The reason for this is because the PvP and Arena gear has no +hit rating whatsoever, so I can't get much resilience gear as a Dual Wield shaman. I got all the mats for the Thunder 2-handed mace to use in the Arena and in general PvP. All I can say is it's very, very nice to see myself get a lucky Windfury crit and practically 1-shot an ally.
that was a very nice attack, mage was capping the flag in EotS, Stormstrike followed by a Windfury crit made very short work of her- me likes.
Because of this revelation, I'm going to put my primal nethers forward to upgrading Thunder to Deep Thunder instead of my 1-handed mace. I kind of got into PvP pre-tbc, but now I'm liking it again.

Aloran- back to PvP'ing and Loving it (although still attending Kara ofc :P)

P.S. If you read this please post a comment- then I can get a rough idea of how many people are reading my blog :)

Wohoo!!! exams are over!!!

Well, as of Tuesday my exams are finally over- I think I did alright in all of them, but I won't find out until the 23rd of August
Netherdrake Progress
Well, I've been doing the Daily quests for the Netherwing faction, all I can say is the crystal one SUCKS 40 crystals is just too many for too low a drop rate, I can spend 3 hours doing the daily quests every day- an hour of which will be collecting the crystals.
I'm currently on the 2nd last of the Racing quests with Netherwing- Mulverick. All I can say is he's bloody damn hard- I figure I should eventually be able to get him during the weekend, although maybe not depending on how much time I get.

Current progress: 10575/12000
I will get revered next time I do the daily quests, so that should be saturday with a bit of luck.
Blacksmithing
Well, I dropped Skinning a while back to take Blacksmithin- it's currently at lvl 356 and I have the Draefist hammer- however I've hit the major obstacle in all the TBC profession levelling- for me it's this- I need roughly 36 Hardened Adamantite bars to get my BS to 375 and be able to train to upgrade my mace (36 Hardened Adamantite as well as the Arcane Dusts and Large Prismatic Shards).
Primal Nether progress: 3/8 primal nethers
I currently have 3 of the 8 primal Nethers needed to upgrade my mace, it won't be hard to get those- just getting my BS up to a high enough skill to train to upgrade it will be hard, although I'm looking forward to when I eventually get my eighth primal nether and I can just go *poof* and upgrade it

Arena
Well, the season 2 is here, so the teams ratings are back to 1500 each. So far all I've done is me and Vanjet in my 2v2 team- we managed to get our rating down to 1460ish, so not many points given from that, although I've managed to usurp Mythica for some healing so maybe it should go better. Craps is on holiday/taking a break currently so there goes me and Ljung's imba healer for the 3v3 team, I figure we should be able to start Arena'ing again next week or the week after- since I have a english essay and an expedition on the monday, tuesday and wednesday (25 miles in 3 days carrying a heavy backpack...fun....)
Well, I'm still looking for a 5v5 team, I've asked Zhero, but he says that his team is currently not recruiting at the moment, so I'll have to look for another one. I joined Explody's (again) but ,once again, it failed to even get 1 game going- so I quit that team.

Current Arena Points: 1526
I need 1k more points to get my weapon, so that's roughly 4-5 weeks of my current 2v2 team's rating, although if me, craps and ljung's 3v3 get's back active it should be slightly easier to get those points- especially considering I want that mace/axe before I go on holiday in 3 weeks time.

Not much else has happened of interest this week, I should be hopefully getting to attend my first Kara raid in weeks next thursday- apart from that nothing much has happened.

2 Exams left- Monday and Tuesday

As the title says, I only have 2 exams left until I'll be back to running heroics and farming the Arena :D. Hopefully they won't be too challenging (as these are the ones I've revised for the least). Tuesday night I'll be looking for whichever peeps aren't doing Kara, to come do a heroic with me (although this will probably be very difficult as most of the tanks and healers will probably be in Kara)
Netherdrake progress
The Netherdrake reputation grind is well under way. I'm currently 4725/12000, so there is still a bit of progress to do. I'm currently on the third of the 5 racing quests, so that's still an extra 2100 rep available, if the whole heroic group set-up doesn't go so well I'll be attempting the quests and also doing more of the quests.
I must say that the way Blizzard have set up the way the quests are done- so far I've done just enough every day to not want to do any more for that day, but not too boring to do them the next day.
Now, I really can't decide which drake to get (I know I can buy them for 200g after, but the initial one is free), the Azure one looks nice, but the green/Onyx ones look very nice aswell- who knows, maybe when I it exalted I'll hold an all out Ravens vote? :) Apart from the light blue and the 2 purple/violet ones (which I definately won't be getting) all the various drakes look very nice, so any help would be very nice, maybe a Raven officer could put up a poll for me on the forums? :)
Artanias
This guy is practically a living legend on skullcrusher, from what I've gathered he started off as an Alliance druid, got him to 60, then he refused to spec resto to raid so he rerolled horde. Then (this is where I'm unsure), he got a shaman to 60, realised how crappy they were, then made another druid and levelled it up (he deleted all the chars that he replaced), then, in the old days when shamans got the buffbat instead of the nerfstick, when the shamans were buffed, he whined a lot, then he deleted his druid and made his mage- and a mage he's been ever since.
Now, he was the first guy from Ravens and indeed on Skullcrusher who i truly made friends with, even if he was a 52 mage with green lvl 32 shoulders.
But, as we all know, Art is the Teenager of the guild (a conundrum, since he's older than me), and sometimes it shows.... I'll be sure to find some more funny chat logs from Ravens, Muda said he had some but he hasn't said anything about it to me yet

Until next time :)

Some interesting chats

Well, I said I'd get some good screenshots of typical Ravens chats, and sure thing, I got some good chat screenies from today.
Also got a nice picture of a certain little creature who everyone likes :)
Lurky's family
Everyone knows the lovable Collector's Edition pet Lurky, today in Org I had mine out today, when what do you know, he found one of his own kind!!Crap's confession
the chat got a bit weirder today, and here is Crap's confession, something I've never suspected, but it seems you don't know anyone nowadays (Craps is Tubbe btw)
after his confession it seemed to inspire many more people to come out with their own dirty little secretArt reveals info
well, the truth really did spill out of everyone todat, even Art confessed his own sins (only after provocation from Tantor of course :P )
But seriously, I must thank Art, he's helping me with the Netherwing Reputation grind whilst I'm revising tonight- thanks loads mate!

Been a while (Again)

OKaaaaaaay, once again I managed to forget about the blog (/slap).
So, what's new?
Well, Exams are almost over, only 1 week left of them until I can finally start raiding with Ravens again, whilst I've been gone immense progress has been made in Karazhan, with Curator, Operan event and most recently Aran going down (as i'm typing this they're doing attempts on Prince). All without me (:*( )
Damage Power!!
A while back I managed to craft myself Drakefist hammer, All I can say is that it rocks, Art once said "you know dude, you do too much damage" shortly after having a small go on my shaman, even though he seems to be better at PvP with my own shaman than me, which leads to my great annoyance sometimes. Although shamans are extremely gimped in 1v1 PvP situations I love the group Arena, Me, Ljung, and Holyvirgin (A.K.A Crapslock) have a pretty nice 3v3 team going on (somewhere around the 1640 rating now), I've found that, although they have a bloody huge owl firing lasers at them from the sky, they always seem to target me first, Crapslock's amazing healing literally saves my ass countless times. I'm going to start hoarding my honour points so I can buy the new Main hand weapon when it comes out with Season 2 (will have almost 1k points this wednesday), I figure that by the time the next patch with season 2 does indeed come I should hopefully have enough (hopefully the new patch won't be the reason for the "extended maintenance)
YAY- Epic Flying Mount!
Well, I finally did it, I got the epic flying mount- and I love it!! in comparison to the regular one it's just like flying a friggin' jet plane. I love the speed, and love the way I can get everywhere relatively quickly.
Netherdrake Power!!
Ok, after getting the epic flying mount I immediately started the Netherdrake reputation quests, I was already neutral because I did the quest-line prior to patch 2.1, so I could immediately start the reputation quests.
Current reputation: 2100/3000
I have to say, it's damn boring at the start, there are only 3 real daily quests that you can do, and they only net 250 rep each, luckily I found an egg for the only true repeatable quest, so that netted me an extra 350 rep. I've been questing for roughly 3 days now, only being able to do 3 quests a day sucks, even though it is easy to do them all in a couple of hours, so the rep grind is definately aimed at casuals. I still have a long way to go, but after my exams are over, I can focus on doing the quests every day, reducing the time taken. I don't know which colour to take- everyone who has a Netherdrake seems to have the Onyx coloured one, I would like to be a bit different, but if the other colours look really bad then I will have to go with the crowd- I have yet to see the other colours, so if anyone knows a place where they are all displayed then it would be much appreciated if you could tell me
Nether Ray!!
Well, with the latest patch came the Sha'tari Skyguard and their reward for Exalted: some trinkets for melee and casters and the Nether Ray mount! Of course I want the Netherdrake first, but, I will also be doing the daily quests for the Skyguard after I've done the Netherwing daily quests, hopefully by the end of the summer holidays I should have both of the mounts.
I want a Netherdrake and a Nether ray mount- NOW!!, a lot to do during the summer.
Ravens
Ravens have been up to their usual tricks as always, we have a nice mix of stoners, emo's, psychopaths and just plain normal people, don't have any screenshots of any funky conversations happening in the guild, but believe me, it's still as odd as always.
My shaman
My shaman was the first character that I ever truly levelled up, and, 2 years on, I still love it- I know that I've matured (both mentally and Physically), but so has the shaman class- there have been a lot of nerfs pointed in our direction, but I still love it. I love Dual Wield and being an enhancement shaman. to quote a shaman's comment I read on the forums "Enhancement shamans are for the Kamikazee berserker shamans who just want to go RRRRRAWWWWRRRRR". I love it, and I love how I can go to raids and do pretty adequate Damage although aggro is still an issue.
I might try to level up my hunter a bit during the holiday, I like the hunter class, but I love the shaman class so much more.
I'll keep this updated as much as I can, especially after my exams.
